I dropped in to see my old boss, Jim, last Friday and talked him out of this little garbage can. It's perfect for my thread ends. I'm not sure why I save them except every once in a while someone on the Quiltart lists asks if anyone has any. I think it's cute and it's only 4-1/2 inches tall.Sunday, August 9, 2009

Loose threads are wonderful to have in our stash. Capture them under tulle for a background, aorks great for post cards; place between 2 layers of wash away & free motion quilt to make flowers, leaf forms, rocks, etc. Sometimes I use 1 layer of tulle for stability.
I have embrodery businesses save their threads for me... so many colors, usually rayon, that are about 30" long.
